Somewhere in Osaka

I was quite amused by the metered bicycle parking there.

Did a three hour ride today…and contributed to the bicycle counts to 2 traffic counters

I was quite suprise I wasn’t too dead to finish off the last up hill going home (yes I did stop by a bookstore and supermarket for a rest in between the three hours)

It’s kinda scary to ride and take photos at the same time. I must admit I am still a very amature rider and the thought of taking both of my hands off the handle bar is still a tad daunting. So I snap a few while waiting for the lights

God I love passing the traffic jam on Chapel Street hehehehe

Loving my CCP gear, and I thought I should take this opportunity to thank the folks there for the extra gift you’ve included in the package! One of the very few Japanese bicycle gear shop that ships overseas. Good on ya guys!

Picasso & His Collection

Went back to Brissie with a pal just to see this exhibition. We also went to see lecture “Talking about modern art” afterward.

It’s a overwhelming experience, the lecutre have opened many questions as to our interpretion of artwork. I am personally don’t like to go in depth with all the meaning in every work. To be honest I don’t even think about the meaning of a work I do after it takes shape, then drop in a few additional elements into it to emphasis the meaning. Maybe that’s my style it’s too direct that way heh!

Who’s to say a piece of art has a particular meaning? It’s almost like who’s to say if it’s beautiful or not. Half the time I don’t even know what my own works convey…I drew a bird on a piece of paper it’s because I felt like drawing it, not because I want to convey a sense of freedom.

Like my pal said…”many of us like to look at an exhibition and appreciate the craftsmanship and what each one mean to you pesonally…knowing too much of “what the work may be” is no fun at all”

:)

As well as this amazing exhibition…We dropped by OUTPOST to checked out i used to skate once #4

Again I managed to scare Matt on my arrival, but being an amazing nice guy as he is I was given a copy of last 3 years “i used to skate once”book…I was slinently exited about seeing my work and my name on it…*feeling warm and fuzzy*

Can’t wait for you to pop down to do some “riding” Matt *wink*
